Hi, can anyone suggest what I should have to pay per load of topsoil in the Meath area? Also, how much is in a load or what sort of coverage should I get per load?

Thanks

All averages but this is what I have discovered.
Recently excavated topsoil, anything from €10 per ton to €30 per ton. Topsoil ran through a screen to remove stones sticks etc., anything from €40 per ton to 80 per ton. Usually at the lower end this is for you to collect, and at the higher end is delivered.
Volume to weight.
one cubic metre of soil, moist, excavated = 1.442 tonnes
one cubic metre of soil, wet, excavated = 1.602 tonnes
one cubic metre of soil, dense = 2.002 tonnes
one cubic metre of soil, soft loose mud = 1.730 tonnes
one cubic metre of soil, packed = 1.522 tonnes

On average a lorry load is about 20 tonne.
