Is the Prayer plant supposed to be a trailing plant? I have one that has quite long branches and as a result they have broken from hanging over the pot. It would be a shame to cut back the leaves to keep it in a more compact shape!

I'm fairly sure its a Prayer plant. I have some pics, so that someone can confirm this for me.

Marge, I posted the pic direct into your post.
Wanna know how......

Well you move your mouse over the pic you want to post, then you right click the mouse.

Select copy picture location and click with your left mouse button.

When you go to post a topic or reply you will see a [img] tab above your post, click that.
Then paste your picture location after it..
Finally click on the close tags tab which is above your post as well.

If you go into edit your original post you will see how the image text looks looks.

Bugs, id say the one in your link is a young plant and the one in marges is an older plant. It looks to me like some form of Maranta (prayer plant). Some of the leaves in marges pic seem to be folding up like a prayer book which is how it gets its name.
I have heard the plant trails with age and I found the following two qoutes about Maranta (prayer plant) on the internet.

(The prayer plant has been a beautiful center piece on my dining table with its trailing leaves)

(It is nice when young but gets messy looking when older because old leaves don't drop off but have to be cut. Will cascade from hanging pot.)

Hope this is of some help to you Marge.
