|
|
Hi There
This is a very informative site and I am hoping someone can help me. We are about to put the final coat of chippings on the lane to our house - I have been advised to put a weed cover (plastic??) underneath this.
Does anyone know if this is a specific product I should use? If I use plastic - sure the chippings will just roll to the side?
Thanks

Hello pitstop.
Is this lane to your house for vehicle traffic?
If it is, you should not use a weed barrier beneath the gravel. The weed barrier will become cut, ripped and exposed in a short period of time. The gravel should be laid on a clean granular sub-base which allows the gravel to slightly bed in and prevent mounding, rutting or scuffing. |
