Here is a rather windswept apple tree. It goves you some idea what winds we have to contend with in Inishowen!

Its well windswept Ian. But still replete with a great covering of blossom. I wonder what kind of a crop it produces.

It has been windswept for a few years now and the crop of the tree is always fantastic.

It probably thinks every year is its last!!

Hiall

I have a bit of an update on the apple tree.

Now,according to Colm (the bloke in the picture) he says the slanting of the tree is due to the fact that it is very near another mature tree. As the apple tree gets deeper into the shade from this larger tree,it is moving outwards to catch the light!

It's still an impressive sight though!
