Best lilys?

I think this topic should be here as I think lilys or lilium are bulbs or are they perennials.
Anyway, I was wondering which liliums grow best in ireland?
I was thinking about buying some tiger lilys ( or should that be tiger lilies). Laughing

Tiger lilies will indeed grow in Ireland.
The tiger lily is Lilium tigrinum.
If you are wondering how high it grows, it grows to a height of about 5 ft.
Its flowers are usually dark orange in colour with some flecks of purple.
Blooming is from July to September.
Plant the bulbs in a well drained soil to prevent bulb rot.
Sun and shelter are also essential.
Water in dry weather and remove spent flowers to prevent energy being wasted on seed setting.
Lilies are prone to slug attack, so keep an eye out for the slimy devils.

Lily care seems very similar to tulip care.

I have lots of tulips, but no lilies.
I will take the plunge shortly.

I have loads of tulips,daffodils, bluebells and snowdrops but no lilies.
They always seem to remind me of funerals.
