Sculpture In Context, Botanic Gardens, 4 Sept - 17 Oct 2008
A major event in the visual arts calendar and the largest outdoor Sculpture exhibition to be held in Ireland. Hosting the sculptures of leading artists from throughout Ireland and abroad. This year Sculpture in Context will be showing over a hundred sculptures in a range materials such as bronze, stone, glass, ceramic and steel.
The sculptures will respond creatively to the Gardens and the Glasshouses.
A panel of selectors will adjudicate the exhibition.

Monday to Sunday 9am - 6pm
Admission Free,

The National Botanic Gardens are located 3 Kilometres North of Dublin city centre,
By Bus: Nos.
4 (St. Vincent's Hospital, Lansdowne Road {Jury's}, O' Connell Street / Ballymun)
13 (Merrion Square, Pearse St, O’Connell St. / Poppintree)
19 (Bulfin road, Leonard's Corner, O’Connell St. / Jamestown Rd., Tolka estate)
83 (Kimmage {Sundrive road, Rathmines} / Harristown {Ballygall Road East})
By Car: From the south, or City centre: leave Dublin via the Drumcondra road (N1) and turn left at Botanic Avenue, just before crossing the river Tolka, ALTERNATIVELY, leave the city via Phibsborough, on the Finglas road (N2), turning right onto Botanic Road just after Hart's Corner, after passing over the Royal Canal. The Botanic Gardens are close to the junction of Botanic Avenue and Botanic Road.
