Hideous shed that needs hidin' --- narrow screen

Hi there,

I was hoping to get some help to hide a shed at the end of a garden.
It's 15ft wide, 10ft high, metal shed with cream paint covering.
A concrete path along the front of it, and a 10ft x 10ft gravelled square in front.

The garden is very small and it really dominates it.
I can't put a fence along the path as there would not be enough room for the shed door to open.

I was thinking about a planted bamboo screen but I'm not sure if it would be too big for the garden.
I had thought about the black bamboo (nigra) but they usually seen a bit scrawny to me (Dublin area).

So anyone any ideas please?

The following three suggestions may help you Rach. They are all narrow / wispy and will draw the viewers eye up and over the unsightly shed.

Juniperus scopulorum 'Skyrocket',

Thuja occidentalis ‘Emerald’,

Fargesia nitida, the Fountain bamboo.
This is a clumping bamboo, rather than a running species, and is much easier to manage.

Hi Rach,

Maybe your problem is solved already, but in case not, I had the same problem, had a monstreous shed at the back, that also took away a beautiful view, I was drastic, knocked it down( well, somebody did that for me), and the light that it gave me, the view and the extra space, so that would be my advice, get rid of it.

Good luck with it, my shed was 15 yards by 10 and about 6 yards high, fit for a farmer, it was equipped with electricity, heating, water, people thought i was mad to knock it down, but it was soooo ugly, don't regret it,
